Getting to know your *NEW* MacKid East Cincy Publisher

Welcome friends! I'm excited to begin providing you with resources to find your family fun!

Hi! I’m Lisa, your new MacKID East Cincinnati Publisher, and I am excited to bring you local ideas to #FindYourFamilyFun in our East Cincinnati community!

I work from my home in Anderson Township. I live with my 6 year old daughter, boyfriend, and two Chesapeake Bay Retrievers who think they own the place. I graduated from The University of Michigan in 2009 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Brain Behavior and Biological Sciences. While not terribly popular down here in Ohio, I will forever unapologetically chant go blue!

My favorite things to do in our town include walking the trails at Beech Acres Park, playing sand volleyball at 50 West Brewery, and eating at new restaurants such as Sunset Beach Bar and Grille in New Richmond. Football is a big deal at our house, so most Sundays are spent cheering on the Browns! However, if I get a few quiet moments to myself over the weekend I enjoy scrapbooking, planning our next family vacation, or reading fictional novels.

Five fun facts about me:

1. I've lived in 4 states in the last 5 years: Michigan, Florida, Pennsylvania, and now Ohio!

2. I am obsessed with the hippopotamus family at the Cincinnati Zoo. Little Fiona melts my heart the instant I set eyes her. If you haven't visited her yet, make plans now, and I promise you will not regret it.

3. I previously worked in the healthcare field. I have surgically recovered and prepared cornea tissue for transplant, assisted with cornea transplant surgery, and performed quality assurance at a blood donation center.

4. I have traveled to Tanzania, Kenya, The Netherlands, France, Honduras, and Monaco, but I have never been to our neighbor to the south, Mexico!

5. I love board games and am very competitive when it comes to both Code Names and Blockus! Try 'em out at your next family game night.

I hope you enjoy following along as I find new and exciting events, new businesses to visit, and even recipes and crafts for those silly "National {insert ridiculous idea} Days" that are so popular now all to share with you!

Your new favorite planning resource.
